Children's Ministry

Welcome to our children's ministry page.  Jesus taught in Matthew 19:14, "Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."  Our children's ministry focuses on leading them to acknowledge of Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, and to learn to live their lives by God's Word.

Sunday School

Bible Teaching for Kids provides a balanced approach to central Bible concepts, essential Bible skills, and foundational Bible stories for babies through preteens.

The Bible Teaching for Kids' three-year scope and sequence plan uses a precept-upon-precept approach to teach Bible concepts, skills, and stories. In this way, biblical learning in each age group builds upon previous learning.

TeamKID

With TeamKID:Character Challenge, each week kids will learn a new character trait God wants them to develop. Ranging from being honest to being joyful, the topics each week challenge children to make that character trait part of their lives.

What is TeamKID?

TeamKID is a high-energy discipleship series for children. TeamKID balances fun activities and games with Scripture memorization and high-impact biblical lessons. Every minute is packed with non-stop excitement-from Warm Up to Cool Down. Each session includes games, a Bible story, a memory verse, missions segment, refreshments, and a conclusion; all of these components work together to help kids understand and apply God's Word to their lives.

Who Can Participate?

For children, youth & college in 1st - 6th grade.

When is the Program?

From 8:00 - 9:30 pm on Friday evenings beginning January 07, 2011.

Where?

The Social Hall at EFCP.

What Happens in a TeamKID Meeting?

TeamKID is designed for children to do more than memorize Scripture. It helps children understand what the verses they memorize mean because all parts of the TeamKID meeting focus on one Bible message. The noncompetitive games, Bible story, memory verse, missions, refreshments, and conclusion all contribute
to help children understand and apply God's Word to their lives.

A TeamKID meeting has six parts with each one flowing into the next to keep the pace moving with non-stop energy:

  • WARM-UP is the opening activity that begins as soon as the first child arrives at TeamKID.
  • WORKOUT includes energized, interactive Bible study as children hear or experience a Bible story, learn the meaning of a Bible verse, apply Bible truths to their lives, sing, and pray.
  • REACH OUT uses either a missions DVD, missions activities, or mission action projects to teach children about missions around the world.
  • STRETCHING is when children work on learning the memory verse.
  • THE TOURNAMENT is a time to run, play, and laugh with fun games and activities that reinforce the Bible study.
  • COOL DOWN is the final few minutes of the meeting and includes refreshments and a review of what children have learned.
